Our vision for Sydenham Social Circle is for our members to create meaningful relationships with each other by participating in activities together. In order to facilitate our vision, we try to follow three guidelines; 1) Provide a variety of opportunities for interaction, discussion, and fun. 2) Encourage and assist our members to coordinate groups and events for other members. 3) Ensure that the people in the club interact with each other.

We provide multiple regular activities in groups as well as the occasional club-wide activities. . All of our members are required to be in at least one activity group.  We will occasionally have an interest group that only meets for a few sessions. Groups, club events, and short term groups allow multiple opportunities to meet people and engage in developing meaningful relationships. 

 

We are always willing to work with people to create new groups or host events. We occasionally wind up with waiting lists in some groups. This is less than ideal as you can imagine. If you find that a group is closed, we encourage you to consider starting a second group. We can sometimes find members in the other group who would like to move to a new group because it allows for more opportunities to participate and to meet new people. We will walk you through every step of the process.

Because we emphasis active group participation we want to make sure that each individual is a good fit for our group. Therefore we require an active member to sponsor you. If you do not know an active member we do have an alternative route that requires interactions with the leadership team.

Currently we have a yearly membership fee of $30.00. This is payable after we have reviewed your application and determined you will be a good fit for our community.
